Orders and Quotation
How can I get a quote from Getzshape?
A detailed answer to provide information about your business, build trust with potential clients, and help convince the visitor that you are a good fit for them.Getzshape provides instant pricing and lead times for your custom parts online. You can receive a formal quote and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback from our engineering sales team in two ways:
1. Upload your 3D CAD file(s) directly on our “Get Instant Quote” page.
2. Email your 3D CAD file(s) and Request for Quote (RFQ) to our designated sales via sales@getzshape.com. We aim to respond with a detailed quotation within 24 business hours of receiving an RFQ.
What file formats does Getzshape support for quoting?
For the most accurate and fastest quoting, Getzshape prefers 3D CAD solid models in formats such as STEP, IGES, X_T, or STL. We also accept 2D CAD drawings with reference dimensions in DWG and PDF formats. Note that most of our processes rely on a high-quality 3D CAD solid model for optimal manufacturing planning.
What to keep in mind when making a CAD design?
To ensure a smooth process and instant quoting, please note: The quickest way to get an instant, accurate quote is by uploading a 3D model in STEP, SLPRT, or IPT format and 2D drawings in DWG/PDF format.
How can I pay for my Getzshape order?
Getzshape accepts payment via two main methods: 1. Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfer: We have designated corporate accounts to facilitate secure transfers. 2. PayPal: We can issue a PayPal invoice, allowing you to pay using your existing PayPal balance.
What information do I need to provide if I want to customize a part?
To successfully place an order for a custom part, please ensure you provide the following key information: 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings, material specification, required quantities, finishing and surface treatment details, tolerance requirements, and necessary billing/invoice information.
Will the price per piece reduce on increased quantities?
Yes, piece prices decrease significantly with increased quantities. This is primarily due to the distribution of fixed setup costs (e.g., machine setup and programming) across more parts. Our quotation will consider factors in these economies of scale, allowing you to compare pricing at various volumes to optimize your budget.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Getzshape does not enforce a minimum order quantity (MOQ). You are welcome to order a single, one-off part if that is what your project requires.
Is Getzshape solely for prototyping?
We support everything from prototyping and one-off parts to large-scale, long-term series manufacturing. Our dedicated sales engineers are available to assist with planning and executing high-volume or multi-year projects.
Production & Logistics
What are the lead times?
For prototyping service, lead times are typically around 5~7 business days. For larger or high-value orders, a formal manual quotation may be required to ensure we provide the most competitive pricing and optimized production schedule. The lead time will be clearly specified in that quote.
What are Getzshape’s shipping terms?
Our standard Incoterms for rapid prototyping and regular production orders is Ex Works (EXW). Under EXW, the customer assumes responsibility for shipping, customs clearance, and all related fees once the goods depart our facility. We also offer Delivery At Place (DAP), where the customer is responsible only for import duties and taxes. Alternatively, customers may utilize their own shipping accounts (e.g., DHL, FedEx, or UPS).
How are import duties and taxes calculated for my order?
Import duties vary significantly by country and the specific classification of the goods (e.g., commercial production vs. prototypes). Most countries use the international Harmonized System (HS) codes to categorize commercial trade goods. We advise consulting your local customs authority for the most accurate and current duty rates.
Can I sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect my design?
At Getzshape, we have built our reputation on handling designs with the utmost confidentiality. We maintain a strict internal policy on protecting customer intellectual property. If required, we are always prepared to execute a formal NDA with our clients.
